Above are a couple of images, the left one is a thumbnail image from the video itself, and the right image is a higher resolution image I snapped of the spider. You can even see the web reflecting in that shot.
Below is a video I captured of a European Garden Spider in a web near the light at the entrance of the apartment’s laundry facility. The blue hue is front the flashlight I used to enhance the light so I could get a clearer shot, as I did not have my tripod with me at the time.
I had noticed several spiders around the light, so I decided to film this one, and I’m glad it’s the one I chose. I just got ready to press the record button when a Green Lacewing flew into the web. In the video I capture the action as the spider makes it’s way down to it’s potential meal and intercepts it. Not extremely exciting, but it was a lucky shot anyway. Enjoy the video!
